Location: Service Headquarters, Salisbury or Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury - There will be a requirement to attend your centre of duty location up to 5 days a month for key activities and meetings. When you are not working from your centre of duty location there will be the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices, and we will welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you.

As an Apprenticeships and Talent Development Officer in our Learning and Organisational Development department you will:
- Manage the implementation of the service Apprenticeship programme ensuring the levy is used effectively to provide development opportunities for staff in accordance with government apprenticeship standards and requirements.
- Manage external training providers and supplier contracts, ensuring due diligence and cost-effectiveness to ensure that all apprenticeships and further education adhere to best practices, are evaluated, and yield a maximum return on investment.
- Supervise a range of learners and adapt approach to provide additional support for both learners and managers of apprentices to enhance the learning experience and successful apprenticeship completion.

- Qualified to relevant level 4, or able to demonstrate significant level of experience at a senior level in a relevant sector.
- Experience of design and / or delivery of development programmes.
- Experience of financial reporting and monitoring.
You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role. Travel requirements will include attending meetings and training events at various locations across the service area. A Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment.
