About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our Chief Officer Group and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and can anticipate the needs of the team. As a Personal Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and efficiency within the office and beyond. What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing the calendar and schedules for the Chief Officer or Senior Leader.
  • Coordinating meetings, briefings, and visibility.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Chief Officer and other Forces, partners, and the public.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Assisting in the coordination and implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring and tracking budgets and resources to ensure efficient operations.
  • Managing communications, including phone calls, emails, and letters, ensuring timely and professional responses.

About You and Your Experience

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar administrative support role.
  • Strong proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and generally tech-savvy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.

  • Copies of your qualifications relating to English and Maths (only). If applying for the Degree Holder Police Constable Apprenticeship, you will need a copy of your Degree Certificate.

  • Formal translation from a reputable source for any foreign language or symbol tattoos
  • Any paperwork relating to discharged debts, CCJ, bankruptcy etc
