You’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced environment, playing a key role in ensuring smooth operations, managing complex schedules, and acting as a trusted liaison. What you will be doing

  • Managing the calendar and schedules for the Chief Officer.
  • Coordinating meetings, briefings, and public appearances.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Chief Officer and other Forces, partners, and the public.
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Assisting in the coordination and implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring and tracking budgets and resources to ensure efficient operations.
  • Managing communications, including phone calls, emails, and letters, ensuring timely and professional responses.

About you and your experience

  • Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing schedules, documents, and correspondence with accuracy.

  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with the utmost trust and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Technology: Familiarity with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and scheduling tools, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Copies of your qualifications relating to English and Maths (only). If applying for the Degree Holder Police Constable Apprenticeship, you will need a copy of your Degree Certificate.

  • Formal translation from a reputable source for any foreign language or symbol tattoos
  • Any paperwork relating to discharged debts, CCJ, bankruptcy etc
  • Deed poll certificate for any name changes
