We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team, making frozen meal deliveries in the Rochford, Hockley and Southend on Sea area two days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of frozen meals to elderly and vulnerable customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, empathy and patience.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to confirm delivery details.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, particularly vans or light commercial vehicles.
- Experience with lifting and moving items safely.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- A valid, full clean driving licence required.
