Traffic Engineering Team - Enhancing Lives, Building Communities

In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and professionals both within and outside the authority, including members of the public, local representative groups, elected members, contractors, and other partners.
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the development and delivery of projects across Traffic Engineering, Public Realm, Casualty Reduction, Active Travel, and Traffic Signals. You will also provide professional advice to stakeholders and support the Council's Local Highway Footway Improvement Groups. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring apprentices, helping to sustain and grow the future talent of the industry.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in Highway and Traffic Engineering, including experience with design software such as AutoCAD, KeyLines, or KeySign. You should have a solid background in Traffic Regulation Orders and the delivery of Traffic Engineering or Integrated Transport schemes, from conception through to completion. Knowledge of NEC Contracts and contract management is highly desirable, as you will work closely with consultants and contractors.
