We are looking for a highly motivated and values-driven professional to lead our work on infrastructure funding and developer contributions. Based within the Planning Directorate, this is a senior role with leadership responsibilities. You will collaborate with staff across the organisation, supporting the delivery of high-quality growth.

You will be the council's lead officer on developer contributions, working with elected members to shape policy and procedure, identifying opportunities to maximise income. As our lead technical expert, you will take the lead on supporting the team carrying out S106 negotiations. You will be an excellent communicator and will develop trust and positive relations with politicians, developers, partners, and local communities.

This role would be ideal for someone with a positive, can-do attitude. You should have a deep knowledge of the planning system, strong financial awareness, and proven experience of delivering complex projects in a political environment. You will be confident in managing sensitive issues, interpreting legislation, presenting technical information, and using evidence to guide decisions. Your ability to build relationships, influence others, and work with integrity will be key to your success.
