Hours of work:
- Teaching Assistant: 8.45am – 12.00pm Thursday and Friday & 1.00pm – 3.15pm Thursday and Friday
- MDSA: 12.30 midday to 1.00pm (Thurs & Fri) (2h per week)
- Wraparound (WAC): BREAKFAST: 7.15am – 8.45am Thursday and Friday & WRAPAROUND CARE 3.15pm – 5.45pm Thursday & 3.15pm – 4.45pm Friday
A half hour unpaid break is included between 12.00 and 12.30pm, the times of this may vary due to school daily requirements.

All about the role:
Teaching Assistant (TA) with MDSA duties at lunch time and Wraparound Care 2 x days per week to be worked on a Thursday and Friday. We wish to appoint enthusiastic, kind and reliable people to join our amazing, happy, dedicated and committed team. You will be someone who aspires to inspire all children and is able to demonstrate that you can work under pressure, maintaining a calm and patient approach. You will be encouraging, supportive and caring and will appreciate how to work with children with additional needs. Supporting pupils learning either in groups or through 1:1 work. Well organised, motivated and confident in managing groups of children and appropriate behaviour. Able to work with distractions and have a good sense of humour. Whilst experienced applicants are invited, new to school working applicants are also welcomed. Training and First Aid Training will be required to be undertaken as necessary.
The Wraparound Care assistant will also be confident in food handling, and assisting in providing basic Breakfast and Tea to children in the club.
MDSA Roles: We also wish to appoint enthusiastic, kind and reliable people to join our amazing, happy, dedicated and committed team. Providing help and support with other staff during the lunch time in assisting delivery of ordered meals to pupils. Overseeing packed lunch children and ensuring all children are eating. Managing appropriate behaviour. There is a physical element to this job in cleaning and clearing and stacking tables and benches. Overseeing children in after lunch play either outside and/or inside during wet play. You will be someone who is encouraging, supportive and caring to children’s individual needs. Training and First Aid training to be undertaken as necessary.
A bit about us: Coombe Bissett Primary School is situated in the village of Coombe Bissett, just outside Salisbury. Our Head Teacher; Mrs Emma Haworth is an enthusiastic leader and staff at the school are happy and committed to their roles within school, always going the extra mile as needed. The school has approx. 100 pupils, currently arranged in four mixed year group classes. Being a small school enables us to build up a very close supportive and loving family environment for our children to feel safe, respected and valued. Each child is an important member of our school and we ensure that all the children know this. We believe that learning is fun and exciting. Through the skills, dedication and enthusiasm of our staff we create a learning environment and a rich curriculum to inspire all our learners.
