Teaching Assistant – Bradford-on-Avon

Job Description
Salary: Grade D SCP 4 – 6 FTE £25,185 – £25,989
£13.05 – £13.47 per hour (depending on experience) £11,644 -£12,016 Pro-rata for 20 hours per week
Hours of work: 20 hours per week (flexible days of the week)
Core hours are 8.30am – 3.00pm per day
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract ending 31st August 2027, 39 weeks per annum (term time only)

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our existing team of professionals.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • an ability to work with a range of young people with SEND, including physical impairment
  • patience, sensitivity and an understanding of child development and learning
  • a strong team working ethos
  • good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills
  • an ability to work in a SEN role to support learning in the classroom and ensure individuals make progress
  • effective communication with young people and teachers
