About the Role
As an Experienced Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering short-term, therapist-led interventions that prevent, reduce, and delay the need for ongoing services. You will work closely with customers, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to design creative reablement plans, assess needs, and provide equipment and adaptations that enable independence.
What You Will Do
- Undertake complex occupational therapy assessments and create tailored support plans.
- Manage a varied caseload, including challenging cases, and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Recommend and oversee home adaptations and specialist equipment.
- Deliver professional supervision and support to team members.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, voluntary sector partners, and families.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with legislation and local policy.
About You
We are looking for a qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with:
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Excellent knowledge of health, housing, and social care legislation.
- Expertise in reablement, moving and handling assessments, and adaptations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to travel across Wiltshire and occasionally work outside standard hours.
