Salary: NJC Scale 4 (£26,403 - £28,142 FTE) - Actual starting salary: £23,874
Hours of work: 37 hours per week - 41 weeks a year (term-time only plus 2 weeks in school holidays). Possibility for 52 weeks a year for the right candidate or as a future option.

All about the role: Due to the internal promotion of the current postholder, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Finance Officer to join our friendly and hardworking team ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the many aspects of the school's finance functions. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of finance and use of a financial information system. They will also have strong IT skills and be proficient in Excel.
Main duties will include:
- Invoice and income processing
- Purchase orders
- Banking
- Trips and finance system administration, always ensuring compliance with the Academies Trust Handbook and Academies Accounts Direction
- Managing lettings, involving communications with current lettings and managing the diary, invoicing for charges, and marketing potential new lettings with a view to increasing bookings where possible
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who has a warm, welcoming manner with the good head for figures and skills needed to support the finance office. Candidates will need to be proactive and able to use initiative, whilst also being an integral and supportive member of our busy team. The ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure is essential as well as excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. They will need to demonstrate good time management and attention to detail in their work. We are seeking a positive and highly motivated individual. Experience in a school setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
