A bit about us: We are a small team pre-school in the village of Shrewton on Salisbury Plain, Ofsted registered for 24 children near to the villages of Orcheston, Tilshead, Larkhill and Winterbourne Stoke. We are also near Amesbury, Durrington and Bulford. We are located in a classroom in Shrewton Cof E Primary School, but are independent to the school. Our setting provides for children aged from 2.5 - rising 5 and can be a lively place to work in. Shrewton Preschool is committed to keeping children safe.
All about the role:
- To take care of all monies relating to Fees and Pre-school expenses plus any day-to-day receipts, bills and ordering.
- To process all Free Entitlement Funding, Staff Wages and Charity Commission Returns.
- To take and prepare minutes of staff meetings, and to update setting Policy & Procedures and ensure all records are kept up to date.
- To assist the Manager with all admin e.g. register and day sheets.
- The Finance Manager/Administrator will organise the Auditing of the Accounts annually, and keep up to date all the standard forms.
- Liaise with the committee over staff wage increases and prepare pay spreadsheets monthly to submit to the payroll provider.
Shrewton Preschool is committed to keeping children safe, therefore safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid training is mandatory.
Skills required:
- IT skills, including Excel and Word, are an essential part of this role.
- Strong communication skills, organisation, time management, teamwork and flexibility.
- An Early Years background would be desirable, but not essential.
- A commitment to attend mandatory and non-mandatory training is essential.
