St. Martin's CE Primary Academy has just opened its brand-new nursery provision for 3- and 4-year-olds - and we’re looking for a warm, skilled Early Years Practitioner to help us launch this exciting new chapter. Our school, part of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust, has recently undergone rapid improvement and is thriving under a dynamic new leadership team. About the Role:
This is a term-time role for 37.5 hours per week (equating to 0.86FTE), supporting high-quality provision for our first nursery cohort. From September 2026, our second room (for 2-3 year olds) will open. You’ll work closely with the Early Years Lead and our Reception team to:
- Foster curiosity, creativity and care in a safe, nurturing environment
- Provide play-based learning tailored to the needs and interests of 3-4 year olds

- Support speech, language and early communication through thoughtful adult interaction
- Embed routines that support independence and confidence
- Be a key adult for children in their crucial early years of development
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

- Builds strong, trusting relationships with young children and their families
- Brings positivity, flexibility, and initiative to a team environment

- Access a wide range of wellbeing support and professional development
- Be part of a Trust that champions collaboration, integrity and aspiration
We want our staff to thrive so we offer an extensive range of wellness services and professional learning opportunities to support growth and development.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All applicants will be subject to a number of checks including the Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
