All about the role: As a Corporate Assurance Officer in our Service Improvement department you will:
- Lead on the co-ordination of the HMICFRS inspectorate programme for the Service, acting as the main Service contact to the inspectorate
- Oversee the annual internal audit programme Service wide, liaising with auditors and senior managers to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place and audits are completed within expectations
- Support the Services approach to Risk Management and be the point of contact across the Service
- Deliver audits and assurance work that support good governance across the Service
What makes you our ideal Corporate Assurance Officer?
- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent qualification, or able to demonstrate significant level of graduate calibre experience at a senior level in a relevant sector
- Knowledge and understanding of assurance and corporate governance and risk management
- Knowledge and working experience of inspections and/or audit processes
Other Information: You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role. There may be an occasional need to travel to Service locations across Dorset & Wiltshire. A Standard Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment. Any offer of employment will be subject to full pre-employment checks which include identity checks, right to work in the UK, medical, receipt of satisfactory references, verification of employment history and an explanation of any gaps in employment in the last 3 years.
