We are recruiting a highly organised, proactive Executive Assistant to provide first-class support to Cabinet Members at senior level. This role sits at the heart of local government decision-making, requiring a sound understanding of political environments and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with complete professionalism.

The Cabinet Office provides proactive, objective corporate support to directors, leaders, Cabinet, and wider services, and uses communication and planning skills for improvement, consistency, and collaboration across teams, and to foster stronger relationships with all stakeholders.

As a key point of contact, you will expertly manage correspondence, calls, and enquiries from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient communication and time-management while protecting the Council's reputation. In this role, you will anticipate priorities, coordinate diaries, prepare briefings, and ensure Cabinet Members are fully equipped for meetings, events, and engagements. Working closely with the Corporate Office and senior leadership team, you will help align political and managerial activities, and contribute to informed, timely decision-making.

We are committed to creating a workplace where positive relationships thrive and everyone feels engaged, supported and able to do their best. We do not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect, guided by our vision and Our Identity.
