Hours of work: 35 hours 8am - 4pm every day, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break (38 weeks per year)

Westbury Church of England Junior School is situated close to the centre of Westbury; it is a large junior school with extensive grounds. All about the role:
We are seeking to appoint a personable and highly organised individual with excellent administrative skills to join our office team. The successful candidate must be flexible with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work accurately with attention to detail. They will be able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils, parents and visitors with a clear knowledge of all aspects of safeguarding.
Main duties will include:
- Being the first point of contact for parents and visitors
- Acceptance of deliveries
- Dealing with incoming communications on telephone and email
- Checking daily attendance registers and making absence calls to parents
- Compiling daily lunch registers for the kitchen team
We are looking for someone who:
- Can maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Is able to work on their own initiative
- Can thrive in a high pressured environment
- Has excellent IT skills, using Word, Excel or equivalent systems

The successful applicant will work within the main school office, alongside our current Admin Officer and School Business Manager. This is a fast paced and busy role where no two days are ever the same. We encourage a visit to our school; nothing sells a school like the people who make it.
