Salary: TA: £13.05 per hour / MDSA: £12.65 per hour

Hours of work: Two days per week, 11 hours per week as a Teaching Assistant and 2 hours per week as a MDSA.

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31 August 2026

A bit about us: The Palladian Academy Trust is a community of schools, each with its own ethos, that enjoy a mutually enriching partnership. Our Trust includes both church and community academies working closely together, all connected by a shared vision for our pupils: 'excellent and equitable opportunities so everyone can flourish.' Churchfields, the Village School is a thriving two site rural Church of England primary school, based at Atworth and Monkton Farleigh villages. Both sites teach in mixed-age classes with an all through primary age range at both bases. Both sites are easily accessible from Bristol and Bath.

All about the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated part-time teaching assistant to join our wonderful school family at the Atworth base. We are proud to be a diverse workforce where everyone plays a vital role. Working primarily under the direction of the Class Teacher and the SENDCo you will support pupils with their planned learning activities and programmes. The role also involves working as a MDSA during lunch times. This is a rewarding role where you will be supporting young people on their educational journey, inspiring them to break barriers and communicating with parents to establish positive home/school relationships.

Palladian Academy Trust are keen to hear from candidates keen for a rewarding and purposeful career change who feel strongly about achieving equitable outcomes for all. This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026, working 5.5 hours per day as a Teaching Assistant, and 1 hour as a MDSA, across two days. The post is term time only plus one Trust Development Day.
