We are inviting applications for a Headteacher who will lead our two-form entry primary school, with vision, integrity and care, providing strong strategic and operational leadership for our thriving, ambitious and supportive school community.
Newbridge Primary School is a two-form entry maintained primary school on the western outskirts of Bath, set within exceptional grounds, serving around 400 children aged 4-11. In their December 2024 report, Ofsted described us as "a caring and welcoming school that puts pupils at the heart of all it does." Newbridge is a place where experienced staff, wonderful children, and a supportive wider community work together to create a genuinely positive and nurturing environment.
School demographics show 12.8% SEN support, 3% EHC Plans, 10% Pupil Premium and 7.4% EAL.
We are seeking a Headteacher for Newbridge Primary School, Bath who will:
- Provide strong strategic and operational leadership, sustaining the school's vision, ethos and drive for continuous improvement in partnership with governors, staff and the community.
- Champion a positive, inclusive and nurturing culture where every child is valued, respected and well prepared for the next stage of life.
- Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and curriculum design, enabling all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND, to thrive.
- Lead a broad, balanced and coherent curriculum, using assessment effectively to identify gaps and improve outcomes.
- Model a robust safeguarding culture, ensuring pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and safety are central to all practice and decision-making.
- Develop, motivate and retain a high-performing staff team through strong professional relationships and high-quality development.
- Manage people, systems and resources effectively, building strong partnerships and ensuring financial stability, accountability and statutory compliance.
- Work openly and transparently with governors, supporting them in their role of strategic oversight, accountability and challenge, and ensuring the school meets all statutory and regulatory requirements.
