You will play a key role in planning and managing transport for children and adults, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring services are safe, reliable and cost effective.

You will manage a varied caseload, arranging and reviewing transport solutions that meet individual needs. This includes allocating passengers, overseeing contracts, negotiating with suppliers and responding to day-to-day operational issues. You will carry out risk assessments, monitor contractor performance and take action where standards are not met.

You will need experience of working with vulnerable groups, a good understanding of safeguarding and health and safety, and the confidence to work independently. You will also use a range of systems to manage records, contracts and financial information.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, able to prioritise work and manage competing demands. Knowledge of transport planning, contract management and local government would be beneficial.
