About the role
We are seeking a motivated and resilient MOSOVO Offender Manager to play a critical role in safeguarding the public and reducing the risk posed by registered sex offenders (RSO’s). You will work proactively with partner agencies, applying investigative skills, risk‑management expertise, and safeguarding measures to protect victims and prevent further harm.
This is a dynamic and challenging position requiring strong judgement, partnership working, and the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases with professionalism.
What you will be doing
- Act as a ‘Proactive and Preventative investigator’: acting positively to protect the public from serious harm through the identification, analysis and management of the risk posed by RSO’s allocated to your management. This includes the use of both physical and technical assessment techniques in order to uncover digital and other offending.
- Deal with breaches of the Sexual Offenders Register and investigate PIP1 level offences that have come to note through proactive investigation.
- Provide support to offenders and enable them to make a positive change in their attitudes to offending, providing multi-agency welfare support where possible.
- Provide support and guidance to the Force on issues relating to registered sex offenders, and knowledge of their risks within the community.
About you and your experience
- Risk management experience — Demonstrable experience assessing, investigating, and managing risk in complex or sensitive situations.
- Partnership working skills — Proven ability to work effectively with external agencies.
- PIP1 accredited.
- Experience in managing and investigating crimes.
