Trainer/Assessor in Health & Care –About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Trainer/Assessor in Health and Care to join our team, supporting learners in healthcare and social care environments, including hospitals, surgeries, day clinics and service users homes. You will support learners both remotely and within their workplaces and includes all aspects of training, assessment, adherence to Quality Assurance and regulatory standards. You\’ll support and motivate a caseload of learners, integrating key topics such as safeguarding, British values, and EDI into your sessions. You will manage communication with learners and their line managers, ensuring progress and implementing action plans as needed.
Trainer/Assessor in Health & Care – Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective training, assessment, and support for apprentices, ensuring completion of qualifications and functional skills.
- Develop individualised Training Plans with apprentices and employers.
- Monitor progress and address barriers to achievement through timely interventions.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to apprentices and employers.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with all programme requirements.
- Offer career guidance and support apprentices through their learning journey.
- Promote health and safety and address any workplace concerns.
- Contribute to quality assurance and feedback for continuous improvement.
Trainer/Assessor in Health & Care You:
We are looking for someone with a strong background in the Health & Care sector who is passionate about passing on knowledge to the next generation. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven background in health or care services, ideally with experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- A genuine interest in helping others develop the skills they need to succeed in their careers.
- This role will require travel mainly around Wiltshire but will include some travel beyond Wiltshires borders.
Essential qualifications
- A level 3 qualification in Health & Care.
- Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 (GCSE C/4) or equivalent.
- Hold or be willing to work towards Assessors Award (A1 or TDLB 32,33) within 6 months of appointment.
