Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to join the Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal Quality & Student Experience. Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal (Curriculum & Quality), the postholder will have responsibility for leading and delivering the college's quality strategy, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning & assessment, and overall student experience. This is a newly created senior role, offering the opportunity to shape and enhance the college's approach to continuous improvement, inclusivity, and learner success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the college's Quality Improvement Strategy, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and the learner experience.
- Oversee quality assurance and review processes, including self-assessment, inspections, audits, and the monitoring of learner progress and achievement.
- Ensure the implementation of high-quality teaching and learning practices, embedding innovation, evidence-based approaches, and inclusive strategies.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive personal and social development programme, promoting learners' skills, behaviours, and attributes required for progression, employment, and active citizenship.
- Provide effective leadership and management of quality teams and teaching & learning coaches, fostering a culture of accountability, professional excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, governors, employers, and external stakeholders to maintain and enhance the college's reputation for quality and inclusivity.
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience in senior leadership within further or higher education, with a proven record of driving quality improvement and enhancing learner outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, inspection requirements, and best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Strong leadership, management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A commitment to inclusion, innovation, and the promotion of excellence across all areas of provision.
