Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Officer β Campaigns to join our team.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire with cross campus travel
Salary: Β£28,107 per annum (Professional Services Grade 6)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Our turnover is Β£45 million per annum and growing, we employ some 650 staff, and support around 11,500 students.
Marketing Officer β Campaigns β The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but exciting Marketing and Communications team. We have big ambitions and are looking for someone to join the team to help us drive our recruitment objectives with a particular focus on our Business Development area, including apprenticeships. We have a wide range of target audiences to engage, therefore no two days are the same.
The role will involve regular travel around Wiltshire so it is essential that any applicants must hold a full driving licence, have access to their own vehicle and are willing to travel when required.
Marketing Officer β Campaigns β Key Responsibilities:
Using creativity, communication, networking, and organisational skills, you will develop strong relationships internally to deliver impactful campaigns.
- To plan and deliver creative, innovative and successful marketing campaigns aimed at target stakeholder customer groups that drive applications and enrolment.
- To support our teams responsible for Employer Engagement to help grow our apprenticeship and work placement opportunities with employers for our students through business-to-business marketing initiatives.
- To take responsibility for a particular area of marketing focus, namely those which reflect the activity of the Business Development team, in line with the overarching strategies outlined by the Marketing & Communications Manager and Director of Business Development.
- To co-ordinate and produce the content for campaigns, including digital, print and supporting marketing assets.
- To co-ordinate, promote and support Business Development and other stakeholder events held on campus.
- Take a data-led approach and work to achieve specific campaign KPIs
Marketing Officer β Campaigns β About You:
The successful candidate will:-
- Be an enthusiastic person who is happy to take on a wide range of projects at the same time and prioritise their own work to deliver to deadlines.
- Have generalist marketing skills ideally including writing, social media content creation, basic design and event management. Experience of videography would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Be a customer focused team player with strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- You will be adaptable and flexible and be able to effectively react to changing priorities.
- The role will involve regular travel around Wiltshire so it is essential that any applicants must hold a full driving licence, have access to their own vehicle and are willing to travel when required.
Marketing Officer β Campaigns β Essential Qualifications:
- To hold Literacy and numeracy to level 2 or above (GCSE A-C)
- To hold a Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC Dip, Apprenticeship)
- Commitment to and evidence of CPD
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and additional closure days over the Christmas period
