Wiltshire College & University Centre have a great opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire with travel to all sites & hybrid homeworking (1 day per week)
Salary: £42,290 per annum (Professional Services Grade 14)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Our campuses deliver a diversity of facilities from the country estate and farm of our Lackham campus to new hi-tech digital and state of the art facilities at our Trowbridge, Salisbury and Chippenham sites. We have invested £65 million in our estate over the past 10 years. Our turnover is £45 million per annum and growing, we employ some 650 staff, and support around 11,500 students.
Marketing and Communications Manager – The Role:

Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a forward-thinking Marketing and Communications Manager to elevate our brand, drive student recruitment, and bring our story to life across digital and traditional platforms.
As our Marketing and Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public face of Wiltshire College & University Centre. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications, you will lead a dedicated team in planning and delivering engaging, innovative, and high-impact marketing strategies that showcase the College as the first-choice education provider in Wiltshire and beyond.
You will be responsible for leading marketing campaigns, managing key events, and ensuring consistent brand messaging that resonates with diverse audiences—from prospective students and parents to business partners and local communities.
Marketing and Communications Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cohesive, strategic marketing and communications plans aligned with college goals.
- Ensure a consistent, compelling brand identity across all platforms, materials and communications.
- Oversee digital and traditional marketing campaigns, college events, and public relations efforts.
- Manage and inspire the Marketing team, fostering collaboration and delivering results.
- Deliver timely, data-driven reports and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Promote the College’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion through inclusive marketing approaches.
- Lead the ongoing development of the College website and digital presence, ensuring it’s modern, accessible, and impactful.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strong partnerships and increase engagement.
Marketing and Communications Manager – You:
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience in digital marketing, event management, brand strategy, and public/media relations.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of delivering successful, creative campaigns.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and use data to guide strategic decisions.
- A confident communicator and team leader who can build strong relationships and inspire excellence.
- A relevant qualification at Level 6 (or willingness to work towards one).
- Knowledge of the education sector is desirable, but not essential.
