How to prepare for a job interview at Wilts Promoting Partners
✨Know Your Stuff
Before the interview, make sure you understand the role of a Teaching Assistant inside out. Familiarise yourself with the EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2 curriculums, as well as the specific needs of both mainstream and specialist settings. This will show your potential employer that you're genuinely interested and prepared.
✨Showcase Your Experience
Be ready to discuss any relevant experience you have, whether it's in a classroom setting or working with children one-on-one. Prepare specific examples that highlight your skills in supporting learning and managing behaviour. This will help the interviewer see how you can contribute to their team.
✨Ask Thoughtful Questions
Interviews are a two-way street! Prepare some thoughtful questions about the school’s approach to teaching and support. This not only shows your interest but also helps you determine if the environment is the right fit for you. Think about asking about their training opportunities or how they support their staff.
