Salary: £24,862.50 - £25,116.00 Per annum after probation
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week on a flexible rota covering 7 days a week and will include weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins. Additional payments of £70 for each Sleep in.

ALABAR is a charity that provides accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges, including armed forces veterans, young people, adults and those with learning disabilities. ALABAR aims to break the cycle of homelessness by offering safe housing, mental health support, and pathways to independence. The charity has expanded its services across the South West and Wales, supporting thousands of people every year.
As a Young Person Support Worker you will provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues: all allowing service users to work towards independent living. You will provide practical advice and support in order that they might develop their skills and work towards maximising their independence.
Experience in working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should be able to work as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative. This is a very rewarding role: where you encourage independence, form trusted relationships and make a genuine difference in young people's lives every day.
