Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week on a rota with flexibility to work bank holidays and weekends to meet the needs of the service.

ALABAR is a charity that provides accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges, including armed forces veterans, young people, adults and those with learning disabilities. ALABAR aims to break the cycle of homelessness by offering safe housing, mental health support, and pathways to independence. The charity has expanded its services across the South West and Wales, supporting thousands of people every year.
All about the role:
As a Young Person and Parent & Baby Support Worker you will provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues: all allowing service users to work towards independent living. Experience of working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should be happy working as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative. You should be flexible and able to move within houses as necessary to meet the needs of the service.
This is a very rewarding role: where you encourage independence, form trusted relationships and make a genuine difference in young people's lives every day.
Based in Salisbury covering other locations and will include Parent and Baby. Car driver essential with access to a road worthy vehicle and business insurance.
