The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

We are looking to expand our fabrication team at our Port Clarence facility. This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including BPSS security clearance and alcohol and drug screening, as part of Wilton Engineerings onboarding process. Due to the nature of work scopes all applicants must be UK Nationals. All applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship.

Main Responsibilities

Reading & Understanding procedures relevant to work

Ensuring correct pre task requirements are in place

Aware of material to be welded, correct consumable to be used, pre heat required and measured

Ensuring all welds are within limits required

Clean weld area on completion ready for acceptance by inspection / NDT

Familiar with arc-air gouging.

Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates

Responsible for cable management & keeping work area clean and tidy.

Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures

Capable of Confined Space Work

Adheres to project security requirements

Welder Qualification Required or Prepared to Test to:

3G & 4G single sided plate Butt weld & a supplementary 2F fillet

6G structural multi run fillet

2026 Pay Rate and Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week basic plus OT

  • £22.56 per hour Dayshift
  • £27.07 per hour Backshift
  • £33.84 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday- Sat 1st 4 hours)
  • £45.12 per hour Overtime 2 (Sat post 1st 4 hrs & Sunday)

Dayshift

Monday Friday from 0700hrs 1500hrs

Overtime currently Working until 1600 hrs Monday Thursday.0700 hrs to 1500 hrs Saturday. Circa £1274 for 49 hours.

Back shift

Monday Wednesday from 1530hrs – 0130hrs (Thursday 0100 hrs)

Overtime currently – Friday 1530 hrs – 2330 hrs.

Circa £1268 for 45 hours.
