We are keen to speak to Welders interested in working with us on multiple long term prestigious UK Fabrication projects. All applicants will be required to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be UK Nationals and have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reading & Understanding procedures relevant to work
- Ensuring correct pre-task requirements are in place
- Aware of material to be welded, correct consumable to be used, pre-heat required and measured
- Ensuring all welds are within limits required
- Clean weld area on completion ready for acceptance by inspection / NDT
- Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates
- Responsible for cable management & keeping work area clean and tidy
- Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures
- Capable of Confined Space Work
- Adhering to project security requirements
- Welder Qualification Required or Prepared to Test to: 3G & 4G single sided plate Butt weld & a supplementary 2F fillet, 6G structural multi run fillet
Pay Rate and Working Hours:
- Dayshift: 37.5 hrs per week Monday - Friday from 0700hrs - 1500hrs
- Backshift: 37.5 hrs per week Monday - Wednesday from 1530 - 0130 hrs, Thursday from 1530 - 0100 hrs
- £21.80 per hour Dayshift
- £26.16 per hour Backshift
- £32.70 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday - Saturday 1st 4 hours) Project needs dependent
- £43.60 per hour Overtime 2 (Saturday post 1st 4 hrs & Sunday) Project needs dependent
