Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Full-Time On-site
Wilton Engineering

Reporting to: Site Shipping & Logistics Manager

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to support the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our buildings, services, equipment and wider site infrastructure at our Port Clarence Offshore Base.

This is a varied, coordination-focused role where you will act as a key point of contact for day-to-day facilities and maintenance requirements. You will help ensure maintenance issues are logged, prioritised, allocated and followed through to completion, working closely with internal teams, tenants, contractors and suppliers.

The role will suit someone with good practical awareness of facilities, site services or maintenance operations, combined with strong organisation, communication and follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating a range of facilities, maintenance and site support activities, including:

Building and Facilities Maintenance

  • Coordinating general building maintenance and repair requirements across site and office areas.
  • Logging, prioritising and monitoring maintenance requests to ensure timely completion.
  • Arranging repairs and maintenance relating to lighting, plumbing, drains, toilets, doors, roof, locks and general building fabric.
  • Liaising with internal resources and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.

Contractor and Supplier Coordination

  • Arranging contractor attendance for maintenance, repair and inspection activities.
  • Ensuring contractors are appropriately inducted, authorised and aware of site safety requirements, including permit to work procedures.
  • Monitoring contractor progress and escalating any performance, safety or quality concerns.

Tenant Management and Site Services

  • Monitoring tenant activity to support compliance with site rules, safety requirements and agreed operating arrangements.
  • Identifying, recording and escalating tenant infringements, including unsafe practices, unauthorised access, poor housekeeping, misuse of site services, parking issues, waste concerns or breaches of procedures.
  • Liaising with tenants, internal departments and management to resolve day-to-day facilities or service issues.
  • Ensuring tenant-related issues, complaints, defects or service requests are logged and followed through to resolution.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Safety conscious and proactive.
  • A practical problem solver.
  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • A strong communicator who can work effectively with employees, tenants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Confident following up actions through to completion.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in facilities, maintenance coordination, site services, logistics, operations support or a similar role.
  • A good practical understanding of building maintenance, site services, plant support and general facilities requirements.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance tasks, contractors, checks and follow-up actions.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, or willingness to work towards this.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a well-established engineering business with a strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork and operational excellence. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of a large and varied operational site, working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Due to the nature of activities applicants must be UK Nationals and be willing to undertake BPSS background checks.
