This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Probate Solicitor to join our enthusiastic and specialist probate team with a high-quality workload.
The work you'll be doing
Working closely with other members of the team, the wider private client department and our contentious trusts and probate team, you will:
- administer large and complex taxable testate and intestate estates, including application of business property and agricultural property reliefs and calculation of inheritance tax when there are exempt and non-exempt beneficiaries
- deal with estate administrations on behalf of national charities
- prepare some wills and LPAs, including those for elderly people where mental capacity may be an issue, which may involve making home and hospital visits to clients on an urgent basis
- supervise the work of other solicitors and paralegals
The team you'll be joining
Our probate team comprises three senior associates, four associates, three solicitors and four paralegals and forms part of our larger Private Client department.
