The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Wilsons Auctions is the largest independently owned auction house in the UK & Ireland. We currently have a requirement for a full time Mechanical Vehicle Appraiser across both Mallusk and Portadown locations in Northern Ireland.

Duties will include but not be restricted to the following:

  • Inspecting vehicles prior to auction.
  • Mechanical diagnosis of vehicles.
  • Identifying mechanical faults, wear, damage, or failures.
  • Evaluating the impact of mechanical issues on resale value.
  • Conducting road tests.
  • Completing repairs, or scheduling with local workshops.

Knowledge of vehicle inspection process / body shop experience.

Ability to deal with corporate clients.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Able to work under own initiative.
  • Hard working and reliable.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours.

Essential Criteria:

  • Mechanical Experience Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with the right experience.
  • Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
