The Role
This is a hands-on, strategic role focused on applying AI to improve marketing effectiveness, efficiency, innovation, and scalability. You will work across multiple client accounts and internal agency functions to identify where AI can add real commercial value. You will help teams use AI in practical ways across content development, campaign planning, audience analysis, reporting, workflow automation, personalisation, SEO, paid media, and CRM. You will also play a key role in setting standards for responsible and effective AI usage. This role suits someone who understands digital marketing in an agency environment and is excited by turning AI tools into measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to use AI across client campaigns and internal agency workflows.
- Research, test, and implement AI tools to improve campaign delivery, reporting, content production, and operational efficiency.
- Support client teams with AI-led improvements across SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing, content marketing, CRO, and marketing automation.
- Build prompts, reusable workflows, templates, and automation processes that improve output quality and speed.
- Partner with account managers, strategists, analysts, and creatives to embed AI into campaign planning and execution.
- Analyse campaign, audience, and customer data to uncover insights and optimisation opportunities.
- Improve reporting processes through AI-assisted summaries, dashboards, and insight generation.
- Help maintain brand quality, factual accuracy, and tone of voice across AI-assisted content outputs.
- Establish and document best practice for ethical, compliant, and commercially sensible use of AI.
- Deliver training and support to internal teams on AI tools, prompt writing, workflow design, and practical use cases.
- Stay informed on emerging AI platforms, martech tools, data regulations, and agency-relevant innovations.
- Evaluate the ROI, scalability, and risks of new AI tools before adoption.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, marketing operations, marketing automation, or martech.
- Strong understanding of core channels such as SEO, PPC, paid social, content, email, analytics, and CRO.
- Hands‑on experience using AI tools for marketing, research, content, analysis, automation, or process improvement.
- Ability to translate business goals into practical AI‑led marketing solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking and confidence working with campaign performance data and marketing metrics.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain AI tools and concepts to non‑technical colleagues and clients.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced agency setting.
- Awareness of quality control, copyright, brand safety, data privacy, and responsible AI use.
- Previous experience in a digital or integrated marketing agency.
- Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, HubSpot, GA4, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Zapier, Make, Google Ads, and Meta Ads Manager.
- Experience creating AI workflows for content creation, reporting, campaign optimisation, or CRM/personalisation.
- Basic understanding of APIs, no‑code automation, and AI integrations.
- Familiarity with UK GDPR and governance considerations for AI use in marketing.
