We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join a prestigious venue in Oxford. Salary: circa £25,000. We are a fresh, food-led operation open seven days a week, welcoming an average of 200 guests daily, in addition to providing hospitality services. We take great pride in the high quality of our offering, which includes daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner services featuring buffets, a salad bar, a grab-and-go section, and freshly baked goods. We also provide daily specials and host fine dining dinners, special events, and themed social gatherings.
We place a strong emphasis on guest interaction during service, so you must be personable, approachable, and well presented. This is a permanent, term-time only position based on a 37.5-hour working week. Shifts will be on a rota basis between the hours of 6 am and midnight to accommodate special evening events. For this reason, flexibility is essential in this role.
As our Chef de Partie, you will:
- Have excellent people skills
- Have general knowledge of food hygiene, NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Be passionate about food and customer service
- Have superb culinary skills
- Have good organisational and communication skills
- Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a large team
- Be eligible to work in the UK
You will be able to create and develop our dishes and will assist the chefs in the creation of weekly menus. A knowledge and understanding of the importance of stock and food wastage is essential.
