We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Cambridge Science Park, CB4. This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 6.30am to 3.00pm.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate.

As our Kitchen Porter you will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Your main duties will include:

  • Clearing and washing all crockery and cutlery using the dishwashers
  • Pan washing
  • Keeping both the kitchen and front-of-house areas clean and tidy
  • Assisting with a small amount of food preparation
  • Sweeping and mopping floors to maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Putting away deliveries for the kitchen as part of your day to day duties

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Have experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Be organised and comfortable working in a busy kitchen
  • Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
  • Have excellent customer service and social skills
  • Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team
