We are currently recruiting for a Junior Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our Colleges in Cambridge CB3 9AL. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week on a rota basis. Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high‑end ethos throughout.

Working alongside an experienced and enthusiastic kitchen team, you’ll help create fresh, high‑quality food for daily retail and hospitality services, play a key role in the buzz of our café operation, and get involved in a wide range of events and functions. No two days are the same, from busy lunch and dinner service to special events, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in delivering food and service with creativity, energy, and flair.

As our Junior Chef de Partie, you will:

  • Support the preparation, cooking, and presentation of fresh food to a high standard.
  • Assist with the smooth operation of daily café and retail food service, ensuring our food counters are fully stocked, well presented, and service runs efficiently.
  • Take responsibility for supporting and running lunch or dinner café service.
  • Contribute to the delivery of hospitality and event catering, including meetings, conferences, formal dinners, and special functions.
  • Assist with event preparation, service execution, and post‑event breakdown.
  • Support high‑volume food production while maintaining quality, consistency, and portion control.
  • Help maintain excellent food safety, allergen, and health standards.
