About the role: Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification, ready to take on a broader and more skilled role? We are looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Level 3 Teaching Assistants, helping to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils. At Wilson Stuart School, our pupils have a wide range of complex physical, medical, sensory and learning needs. We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, resilient and passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work within one of our pathways — EYFS, Primary, Secondary or Sixth Form — supporting teaching staff and pupils throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

• Using specialist skills to meet complex needs, including moving and handling and personal care
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and develop core skills
• Providing support for pupils with sensory, physical, cognitive, behavioural and communication needs
• Observing, recording and reporting on pupil progress
• Assisting with the planning, preparation and evaluation of learning activities
• Maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting behaviour management
• Building positive relationships with colleagues, families and external professionals
• Promoting safeguarding and upholding the ethos and values of Wilson Stuart School
• Supporting pupils both individually and in small groups across a range of learning activities
