The London office is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide thorough and timely analysis of all firm new business to identify ethical and business conflicts of interest.
- Utilize internal and external databases and communicate with Partners, other lawyers, and business services colleagues to follow up on and resolve all potential conflicts of interest.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and current records of all conflicts resolutions in the database to ensure integrity and assist in identification and clearing of future conflicts of interest.
- Assist Executive Assistants, lawyers, and staff in understanding the firm’s new matter intake, conflicts, Anti-Money Laundering, and other compliance procedures.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 2+ years of conflicts experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization across locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to make recommendations to resolve problems or issues using sound judgment in line with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or law.
- Familiar with standard technology environments.
- Ability to collaborate or work autonomously as needed.
