Overview: Wilson Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Food Services Operative to join a dynamic team in Bedford. This role involves food preparation, customer service, and general operational support, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards. The position operates on a 5 out of 7 days shift pattern, 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation and service in line with menu requirements. Uphold food safety, health, and hygiene regulations. Conduct pre-service briefings, ensuring allergen information is communicated effectively. Maintain cleanliness in work areas, counters, and dining spaces. Monitor and record food temperatures, stock levels, and waste management. Support hospitality services and special events as needed. Manage stock rotation, labeling, and storage in line with company policies. Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with dishwashing when required. Deliver excellent customer service, addressing queries professionally. Complete end-of-shift tasks to ensure the site is secure and prepared for the next day. Requirements: Essential Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills. Team player with a proactive approach and attention to detail. Understanding of food safety and health regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. Desirable Skills: Experience in a busy food service or hospitality environment. Previous supervisory experience or familiarity with high-level customer care. Additional Information: Uniform and PPE provided and must be worn as per company requirements.
