We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operative to join our client in Leighton Buzzard on an immediate basis. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately produce weighbridge tickets for all inbound and outbound loads
- Communicate with site staff via radio to coordinate vehicle loading
- Ensure all drivers and visitors are wearing appropriate PPE
- Notify drivers of any overweight vehicles
- Enforce credit stop procedures, only allowing transactions with appropriate authorisation
- Monitor and report weighbridge issues (damage, cleanliness, inaccuracies)
- Inspect inbound documentation for compliance
- Accurately complete outbound documentation in line with legislation
- Maintain a clean and tidy weighbridge office
- Ensure drivers and visitors understand and follow site rules
- Answer telephone calls professionally
- Collaborate with colleagues to operate the site safely and efficiently
- Uphold health and safety standards, including the use of PPE and reporting of incidents
