Job Title: Chef de Partie
Location: Northampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07.00 18:00 (Some weekends may be required)
Job Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at our busy kitchen in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys preparing high-quality dishes in a structured and professional environment, with a consistent shift pattern and work-life balance.
You will be responsible for managing your section of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard for conferences, events, corporate functions, and daily service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present dishes for a variety of services including conferences, buffets, plated meals, and staff catering
Maintain a high standard of food preparation and hygiene across your section
Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to support smooth kitchen operations
Ensure that food is prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and client specifications
Support junior staff and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen documentation where required
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie
Experience in volume catering, banqueting, or events is highly desirable
Understanding of food safety, allergen management, and HACCP procedures
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy kitchen environment
Team-oriented with good communication and organisational skills
Flexibility to occasionally work weekends for larger functions or events
