We are looking for a Factory Operative to join our operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds.
Wilson Power Solutions are a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultimate low loss amorphous transformer technology.
Our flagship product saves money, saves energy, cuts carbon and offers an innovative solution to the worldwide challenge of reducing energy wastage.
- Sanding/rubbing and masking of paintwork on transformers and other products
- Preparing stencils/jigs
- Painting markings on products
- Use of hand tools
- Ensuring adherence to quality processes and procedures
- Maintain and adhere to Company Health and Safety standards
- General housekeeping duties within the factory site both internal and external to maintain high standards of housekeeping and reporting any issues
- General factory tasks as instructed
- Ensuring tasks are completed on time in line with production targets
- Communicating with colleagues
Skills, knowledge & experience
- Full training will be provided
- Reliable
- Hands on experience of working within a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Ability to carry out tasks and instructions requested by Supervisors
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding the importance of working as a team to achieve productivity standards/targets
- Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
- Have a ‘Can do’ attitude with the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
- Flexible approach and a willingness to work across other areas of the factory
- Be professional and possess a polite and positive attitude
