This is a fantastic opportunity for an Internal Logistic Supervisor to join an established family-owned business in Leeds.

The role will lead the material handling team to ensure the efficient supply of raw materials, transformers and equipment to our internal manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics and transportation activities.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Track deliveries and resolve delivery-related issues.
- To lead the Materials Handling team to achieve all targets regarding efficiency, quality, safety and cost.
- Work with the planning and logistic team to develop internal logistics solutions (goods in, kitting, issuing, delivering to line) thus ensuring manufacturing bays experience zero shortages.
- Ensuring ERP system fully reflects all transformer movements and locations.
- Liaise with logistics to manage the safe delivery and availability of transformers through effective planning.
- Monitor Overall Operative Effectiveness, Efficiency and Performance with a focus on continuous improvement.
- To work within an ethos of continuous improvement to develop a right first-time culture and promote a safe working environment.
- To support, mentor and lead the Material Controllers.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain activities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and logistics management systems.
- High level of IT and data management competency, ERP/PM tools
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- High level of organisational and planning skill
- Ability to deliver efficient solutions, with a strong customer focus.
- Sound leadership qualities to motivate, support and manage staff within a fast moving, projects driven manufacturing environment.
- Ability to build and develop effective teams.
