Your new role:
To prepare (under supervision) accounting, business tax and audit work which contributes significantly to the preparation of audits for clients.
Duties & key responsibilities:
β’ Assist with the preparation and review of period-end accounting journals, including depreciation, prepayments, and accruals, to support the audit of financial statements.
β’ Perform testing and review of control account reconciliations, investigating variances and obtaining audit evidence to support the accuracy of financial information.
β’ Complete audit fieldwork across a range of financial statement areas, working closely with senior team members and applying audit methodologies to meet engagement objectives.
β’ Prepare and maintain clear audit working papers and documentation in accordance with firm procedures and professional standards.
β’ Develop an understanding of clients' accounting systems, financial processes, and internal controls to support the delivery of effective audit services.
β’ Gain proficiency in a range of accounting and audit software packages, using data extraction and analysis tools to support audit testing and assist clients with information requests.
β’ Collaborate/Communicate with colleagues and clients to ensure information is obtained efficiently and audit deadlines are met.

Knowledge & experience:
β’ No previous accounting experience is required
β’ Computer skills: MS Office applications - Word, Excel, Outlook
β’ Strong GCSE and A level Qualifications with degree level 2:1 or above preferred
