Residential Development Solicitor in Manchester. £70,000–£85,000. Lead on complex plot sales, shared ownership and technical support within a recognised specialist team.

Introduction

This is an opportunity to become the technical cornerstone of a highly regarded Residential Development team. Working with major developers, registered providers and public sector organisations, you'll combine technically challenging legal work with mentoring and supporting an experienced team of junior lawyers.

The Work
  • Leading on technically complex residential development and plot sale matters.
  • Advising on shared ownership leases, staircasing, Right to Buy, Right to Acquire and other affordable housing transactions.
  • Reviewing development documentation and ensuring sites are set up efficiently for plot sales.
  • Drafting and maintaining precedent documentation and promoting best practice across the team.
  • Acting as the escalation point for complex title, lease and transaction issues.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior fee earners throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Building trusted relationships with developers, registered providers and local authority clients.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Solicitor with around 3+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong background in residential development, plot sales or affordable housing.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of shared ownership, staircasing, leases and development site set-up.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising junior lawyers.
  • Commercial judgement with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Comfortable acting as the technical authority on complex matters.
