Wilson Language Training is growing and is looking to hire a Shipping & Receiving Associate. Position is in the warehouse. In this position, the qualified candidate would support the Shipping & Receiving Manager and be assigned to receiving all inventoried and non-inventoried materials, stage and coordinate shipping of large orders. Process transactions using the internet and our company’s business software.

The qualified individual will be able to ship large customer orders with a great level of detail and a low incidence of error via LTL or FTL. The individual will perform quality control checks on all inbound shipments. They will unload trailers as well as put away pallets using a forklift. At times they will need to assist the shipping department sending out small parcel orders via UPS and FedEx as well as assist production. At all times, required to observe safety and security procedures and uphold organizational values by treating people with respect. The individual will volunteer readily and commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach departmental goals.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive, inspect, and store all inventoried and non-inventoried materials.
  • Stage and coordinate delivery of all sales orders that require LTL or TL.
  • Operate powered hand jacks regularly.
  • Ship small parcel orders when needed.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilize multiple modules in a WMS.
  • Comfortable and able to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Understand and display WLT’s values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have computer experience.
  • Experience with a WMS environment.
  • Able to load and unload materials weighing up to 50 pounds each.
  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as moving heavy boxes continuously while on your feet.
  • Skill in simple math computations.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift experience, or willing to learn.
Education or Certification:
  • High School graduate or GED acceptable.
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in a Shipping Associate role.
  • Prior forklift experience preferred.
