Overview
Permanent position based at a museum in Bradford. Zero hours contract with shifts from 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00. Pay: £12.60 per hour.
Join Our Team as a Support Security Officer. This exciting role is based at one of the world’s leading science museums in Bradford, welcoming visitors daily. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to protect, deter and respond to security matters while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a first-class security team ensuring the safety of the public and staff in both public and private areas of the museum, and protect the property and its collections.
- Check and verify entry passes, monitor alarm systems, manage access control, and investigate any suspicious activity or behaviour.
- Interact with customers and staff: greet visitors, listen to requests, show empathy, answer questions, and follow up where you can help.
Qualifications & Requirements
- DS SIA Licence
- Experience in a security environment is beneficial but not essential; training and progression opportunities are available.
- Hard-working with a positive attitude and an interest in the role; customer service experience is a plus.
