Night Security Officer Permanent | Location: Longcross - Surrey | Hours: 4 on, 4 off – 18.00pm-06.00am | Pay: £15.52 per hour
Join Our Team as a Night Security Officer! As a Security officer you will bring excellent customer service, have a super smart personal presentation and be entrusted to protect premises ensuring a safe working environment for visitors, staff and contractors. You are required to have a highly visible presence in a fantastic working culture and prevent any illegal or inappropriate activities that might arise. In addition to playing an active role in incident response your goal will be to detect, deter, protect in a professional and confident manner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
- Monitor CCTV systems – review, record and elevate incidents, fault find and reporting.
- Operate internal / external security patrols on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and processes.
- Upkeep of any logbooks and other administrative tasks pertaining to the security desk and workload activities – archiving daily paperwork, clear reporting writing, ID card management, IT movement, records, etc.
- Detect and deter unauthorized activity throughout the site and report any suspicious persons immediately to the manager.
- Perform reception duties as set out in assignment instructions.
- Be fully conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement, to a place of safety procedures at the location.
- Protect the premises, property and personnel from theft, damage and violence; investigate unusual conditions and ensure building is securely locked.
- Efficiently respond to alarms as requested by the onsite supervisor.
- Play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with antisocial behaviour, first aid incidents (or assistance to trained first-aiders).
- Investigate any matters of concern reported by the onsite manager.

- Deliver excellent customer service.

- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
- Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
- SIA DS licence.
