Permanent Location: Smithfield, London

Hours: Full time, 5 on 3 off, 35 hours a week, 10 hours shift

Pay: £16.50

We are seeking a confident and highly capable security supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Security Officers across the Museum estate, ensuring security operations are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with all policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Assignment Instructions.

About The Role

  • Provide visible leadership and supervision to Security Officers across the Museum estate.
  • Ensure officers are correctly deployed to positions, patrols and operational duties in accordance with assignment instructions and operational requirements.
  • Monitor standards of appearance, attendance, punctuality, professionalism and conduct.
  • Ensure officers maintain high standards of customer service, engagement and professionalism.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support to Security Officers.
  • Lead by example and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • The postholder will be expected to respond flexibly to changing operational requirements, special events, exhibitions, incidents, emergencies and business needs.
  • Will undertake any reasonable task as directed by the Duty Security Manager, Contract Manager or other authorised manager.

Essential What we are looking for:

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence.
  • Previous experience within a Security Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Security Officer role.
  • Experience supervising teams within a customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with visitors, staff, contractors, emergency services and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication skills including report writing, incident reporting, statements and handover documentation.
  • Experience managing incidents and emergencies in accordance with procedures and escalation processes.
  • Experience monitoring standards, performance and compliance within an operational environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within a museum, cultural, heritage, visitor attraction or public-facing environment.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
