Join Our Team as a SCC Controller. Security Service Centre Operators are to plan, assist and coordinate the activities of the SSC operations, including monitoring of CCTV, logging tickets, updating access badge requests, and producing accurate and timely management information. They ensure efficient and compliant delivery of all tasks in the SSC and support the wider security team, while actively participating in incident response as instructed by Supervisors.

About the Role

  • Assist and coordinate the activities of the Security Service Centre (SSC) operations.
  • Providing timely, accurate reports and information when requested by management and the wider security team.
  • Monitoring the CCTV operations in the SSC.
  • Dealing with incidents on site and escalating them to the correct channels appropriately.
  • Effectively monitoring and patrolling via view screens, and taking remedial or immediate action as appropriate.
  • Participation in projects and ad‑hoc requirements related to security management.
  • Monitoring CCTV systems – review, record and escalating incidents, fault finding and reporting.
  • Monitoring the Fire & Security alarm system panel, inclusive of intruder systems.
  • Be fully conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement, and place of safety procedures at all locations.
  • Prevent loss, damage and theft of assets by carrying out security duties, including but not limited to patrolling, checking identification, issuing access passes and managing security access.

  • SIA front line licence.
  • CCTV licence.
  • Excellent customer service, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.

  • Reliability, including high standards of punctuality and attendance to ensure effectiveness and availability of departmental resources.
