Area Relief Security Officer Location: Bradford (travel to Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool)

Hours: 120 guaranteed hours

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Relief Officer to work at one of our client sites based in Yorkshire. Our client is one of the largest retail and commercial banks in the UK, committed to helping people and businesses prosper simply, personally, and fairly. In this role, you will always portray the company's values and provide excellent customer service, preserving an environment where employees, visitors, and property are safe and well protected.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming staff and visitors, creating a safe, professional atmosphere
  • Conducting regular patrols and monitoring premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism
  • Monitoring access points, CCTV, and handling security procedures
  • Responding promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, taking appropriate action
  • Completing detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security concerns
  • Assisting in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid support if required
  • Adapting to different client sites – no two days are the same
  • Responding calmly and confidently to incidents or concerns
  • Working as part of a diverse, supportive team

What We Are Looking For

  • Current SIA Licence
  • Driving licence and access to own car
  • Proven experience in a security role or similar position
  • Strong observational skills with ability to identify and respond to security threats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, visitors, and authorities
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high‑pressure situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
